Had heard good things about Bombay Mahal so decided to finally check it out. They're trying to look a little more upscale than the other restaurants in Parc-Ex and the prices reflected that so some extent - prices on some items were more than double what I had paid a few nights prior at Pushap just a few doors down. Unfortunately the food wasn't more than twice as good.
Pakoras were good, channa samosa was ok although I've had better, the malai kofta was unimpressive at $8 - first of all I could not detect any cheese in there, seemed to be just chick pea flour and some vegetables, perhaps as a result they were tougher than most. My friend had a butter chicken / tandoori chicken and mixed vegetable plate that looked pretty good.
Overall, Bombay Mahal was not bad but I won't rush to go back, not with the wealth of other options in the immediate environment like Pushap - which has wonderful food, friendly service and great prices.
